I run this site that uses the Cobalt 2.0 template

The site work OK, but has a few glitches (like I can only moderate the photo album mod with subsilver active). It's using phpbbs v2.0.18.
I'm getting ready to try and make more changes to the site, like adding the attachment mod and some tweaks to try and thwart spammers.
Rather than mod the existing code, I thought I might start over (so my code is cleaner). I'm looking for some recommendations.
First - Revision problems? If I'm thinking of installing in this order:
phpbbs 2.0.22
Cobalt 2 v2.04
Album mod 2.0.55
Album files for Cobalt (from this site)
Attachment mod
Attachment mod file for Cobalt (from this site)
Will I have a problem loading both attachment mod and album mod at the same time? (IE, the cobalt modded files will overwrite each other)
Do these latest versions of files play well together -or- am I in for hours and hours of debug work trying to track down obscure lines of code that are misbehaving?
My biggest concern is that I am not a coding genius. I can edit code and understand HTML a bit, but PHP coding is beyond my skill. I can really only do simple edits and if I have to debug I will be toast.
