Ginger Cake
150 g Butter
125 g Sugar
3 Tablespons Golden Syrup
1 Egg
210 g Flour
1-teaspoon Baking Powder
1-teaspoon Ground Ginger
1-teaspoon Cinnamon
1-teaspoons Mixed Spice
1/2 Milk + Extra
1 tsp Baking SodaPreheat oven to 180 C. Cream butter, sugar and golden syrup. Beat eggs and add to creamed butter. Add baking soda to milk. Sift dry ingredients on to plate. Add alternatively with milk. Spoon into loaf tin. Bake for 20 minutes. Serve sliced with butter or alternatively ice with ginger icing.
